Suddn vs Squarespace

Squarespace is a design-led website builder: you describe your business to its AI or pick a template, then edit in a drag-and-drop editor, with online selling on every paid plan. Suddn is for a small local business that wants a finished website without design work: you answer a few questions and it's done in under a minute, free as a one-page website or $16.67 a month billed yearly for Pro, available at launch.

Which one fits you

Choose Squarespace if

  • You want to sell products, content or memberships online. Every paid Squarespace plan can sell products and services; Suddn has no online store or checkout.
  • You want to control the design yourself in a drag-and-drop editor, and add your own CSS and JavaScript on its Core plan and up.
  • You want a blog, or a large website with many pages of your own.
  • You want your own domain connected today. Squarespace connects one on any plan; on Suddn it's Coming soon.
  • You want a full scheduling system, with packages, memberships and intake forms, from Squarespace's Acuity Scheduling.

Choose Suddn if

  • You want to try it for free with no end date. Suddn's Free plan is a one-page website for $0; Squarespace has a 14-day trial and no free plan.
  • You run a small local business, like a restaurant, a hair salon or an auto shop, and want a finished website without designing it.
  • You'd rather answer a few questions than learn an editor: your business name, the kind of business, a look, your phone number and city.
  • You'll keep it up to date from your phone: hours, a notice at the top, your menu or services.
  • You already use a booking service like Calendly, Fresha or Square Appointments and just want a clear button for it on your website (Pro).
