Turn visitors into quote requests

Contractors, auto shops, professional services and most other businesses can put a short request form on their website, on every plan. Each request is emailed to you and kept in your dashboard's Inbox: Free shows the newest 3 there, Pro shows every one.

Who gets the form

The form is on by default for contractors, auto shops, professional services and “something else” businesses, and shops can switch it on. Restaurants, cafés, salons and barbers don't get one: their customers call, come in or book.

Professional services call them enquiries, so their form says “Send an enquiry”. Auto shops get an extra field for the vehicle, so you know which car it's about before you call back.

What the visitor fills in

Their name, a phone number or an email address, and a message about what they need. That's all, so it's quick to fill in on a phone.

Suddn checks for bots and limits repeat sending, to keep spam out of your inbox.

Your Inbox

New requests show up in your Inbox, newest first, with a badge for the ones you haven't read, together with messages from your website's contact form. Call or reply by email from there, mark requests read or unread, and archive the ones you're done with (you can bring them back). You can also search, filter and export them as a CSV file.

Each request is also emailed to you. When the visitor left an email address, replying to that email goes straight to them. Your dashboard's Home shows the newest requests too.

Free and Pro

On Free, the Inbox shows your 3 newest messages, quote requests and contact form messages together. On Pro it shows every one, with no limit, and Analytics counts how many came in each day.

Pro is $16.67 a month billed yearly, or $19.99 monthly, and is available at launch.

What it doesn't do

It isn't a booking calendar or a payment form: there are no time slots, prices or deposits. For appointments, Pro's Book a time button opens your booking service.

Visitors can't attach photos or files, and Suddn doesn't email the visitor. They see that their request was sent, and you get back to them.

A visitor can send only a few requests an hour, and a website takes up to 50 a day. Past that, visitors are asked to call instead.

Questions

Do I get an email when someone asks for a quote?

Yes. Each request is emailed to you, and it's in your dashboard's Inbox too. If the visitor left an email address, you can reply straight from that email.

Why can't my restaurant have a quote form?

Restaurants, cafés, salons and barbers don't get one. Their customers call, come in or book, so their websites lead with Call and Directions buttons and, on Pro, Reserve, Order online or Book buttons.

What's the difference between a quote request and an enquiry?

Only the name. Professional services, like bookkeepers and lawyers, get a “Send an enquiry” form, and everyone else gets “Request a quote”.

How many requests can I see on the Free plan?

The newest 3, in your Inbox, counting contact form messages too. Each one is still emailed to you, and Pro shows every request in the inbox.

Can I turn the form off?

Yes. Switch it off in Design, under Features, and your website stops showing it.
