Acceptable Use Policy

This policy says what you can't put on a website built on Suddn, what we do when a website breaks it, and how to report one. It's an early version written for early access, like our terms, and a lawyer will review it before Suddn opens to everyone. Last updated October 17, 2026.

Who it applies to

It applies to everyone who builds or publishes a website on Suddn, and to everything on that website: its name and address, text, photos, menus and PDFs, links and buttons.

You're responsible for what your website says, including any text you kept from “Write it for me”. Use only a name you have the right to use, such as your own business name.

What's not allowed

Phishing, or collecting passwords or payment details. Your website must not ask for passwords, login codes, card numbers or bank details, through its text, its quote form or a link. It must not pretend to be a bank, a government office, a delivery company or any other service to get them.

Pretending to be another business or person. Don't use another business's name, logo, address or photos to make people think your website is theirs, and don't pretend to be a real person you aren't. Website addresses that look like a well-known brand are blocked for the same reason.

Illegal goods, services or content. Don't offer, sell or promote anything that's illegal, such as illegal drugs or weapons, counterfeit goods or stolen property.

Spam and malware. Don't use your website to send or promote spam, to link to malware or harmful downloads, or to trick visitors into clicking something. Don't create websites in bulk or only to push links.

Sexual content involving minors, and any other content that's illegal in Canada. There are no exceptions. We remove it and report it to the authorities as the law requires.

Hate and harassment. Don't promote hatred or violence against people because of their race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age. Don't threaten, harass or bully anyone, or post someone's private information without their permission.

Someone else's trademark or copyright. Use photos, logos, text and menus that are yours or that you have permission to use. Don't copy another business's website or use its brand.

Misleading claims about licences or credentials. Only list a licence, registration, certification, membership or award you really hold, in your credentials, your legal line or anywhere else on your website. If your trade is regulated, check with your regulator about what you may say.

What we do

We review reports, and we may look at any website on Suddn. If a website breaks this policy, we may ask the owner to fix it, suspend it (take it offline) or remove it. We may also refuse to publish a website or a website address.

When a website puts people at risk, for example by phishing, we may suspend it straight away, without warning. Where the law requires it, we report content to the police or other authorities and keep the information they need.

If you think we got it wrong, email hello@suddn.co and tell us why.

How to report a website

Use the Report a website form at suddn.co/report-abuse, or email abuse@suddn.co. Include the website's address and what you saw. Don't include passwords or payment details.

If someone is in danger, call 911 or your local police first.

Changes to this policy

This is an early version for early access. A lawyer will review it before Suddn opens to everyone, and it may change then or before. When it changes, we update the date above. If a change matters for websites that are already published, we'll tell their owners by email.
