"Where are you today?"

Your customers' first question isn't what's on the menu. It's where you are today. You answer it in Instagram stories that are gone in 24 hours, and in replies to the same message ten times a week.

A truck's website has an odd job: the menu barely changes, but where you park does. A website you set up once and never touch is wrong by the second day, so many trucks give up and live on Instagram alone.

Suddn handles it with a notice line at the very top of your website. Before you open the window, you change it from your phone: "Today: Riverside Park by the splash pad, 11:30 to 2". It's live the moment you save.

Today's spot, at the top of your website

The notice line is the first thing people see. Change it each morning from the dashboard on your phone ("Today: the brewery on Mill Street, 4 to 9") and it's live as soon as you save. On every plan.

Print a QR code for the truck window and your flyers. It opens your website, so people who liked lunch today can check tomorrow where you'll be.

What the website can and can't do for a truck

Your website has one fixed address, and the Directions button uses it. Pick your usual spot or your home base, or leave the street out and show only your city. The notice line is what tells people where you are today.

Hours are one opening per day: Tuesday 11:30 to 2, Thursday 5 to 9, and so on, with Open now worked out for you. Two openings in one day, like a lunch stop and an evening stop, aren't possible yet, so put the second one in the notice line.

Questions from food truck owners

How do I tell people where we're parked today?

With the notice line at the top of your website. Change it from your phone before you open, and it's live as soon as you save.

What address should I put if we move every day?

Your usual spot, your home base or only your city. The street is optional, and the Directions button goes to whichever address you enter, so the notice line is what tells people today's spot.

We do lunch downtown and dinner at a brewery. Can I show both?

Not as two openings yet. Each day has one opening for now, so enter the longer shift as your hours and put the other stop in the notice line.

Can I show our usual weekly schedule?

Yes, in words. Your hours show one opening per day, and you can write where you usually park each day in your About text or as a question in your Questions section. The notice line stays for today.

Can people book the truck for weddings and events?

Yes, by calling or texting you. Food businesses don't get a quote form on Suddn, so add a question like "Do you do private events?" with what you need to know, and turn on the Message button if your number can receive texts.

We close for the winter. What happens to the website?

It stays up. Free is $0 all year, so put "Closed for the season, back in April" in the notice line and your menu and photos stay there for anyone looking you up.

Can I link our Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. Your website has links for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, so people can follow your stories as well as check the notice line.
